Healios to welcome new CEO this month

Healios will begin an exciting new chapter in May as we welcome a brand new Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation.

Liz Perry joins us on May 16th from Operose Health, currently the UK's largest provider of NHS-funded primary care services. 

As Operose Health's chief executive for the past three years, having initially joined as Chief People Officer, Liz successfully led the organisation through significant challenges while maintaining focus on investing in people and quality.

With previous roles at RSM, Arthur Andersen and IBM Global Services, Liz brings with her over 20 years of people and operational leadership, particularly in the healthcare, retail and technology sectors. 

She has a strong track record of driving positive transformation, profitable growth and positive work cultures to support organisations deliver their strategic and financial objectives.

We look forward to welcoming Liz when she joins officially on May 16th and we will be sharing more on her hopes and vision for the future of Healios and digital healthcare in the next issue of the newsletter. 

Making new connections at HPN North

Healios was delighted to sponsor and attend the Health Partnership Network (HPN) North event and have some really engaging and insightful conversations with stakeholders from across the healthcare ecosystem.

Our Business Development Director Matt Daniel and Strategic Marketing Director James Gill attended the event in Manchester and our presence was an invaluable opportunity to discuss how we can collaborate and showcase how we can be a solution to the challenges being faced in the short and long-term.

This is fantastic recognition of the work we do and highlights how innovation in technology supports the delivery of our robust clinical services and helps our highly-skilled clinical teams to deliver great outcomes for our patients.

Autism Specialist talks changing perceptions

World Autism Acceptance Week 2024 took place recently celebrating diversity and promoting acceptance of autistic people.

Nadine Bowery joined Healios’ private intermediary service Melios, which offers private neurodevelopmental services to children, young people and adults, last year as a clinical specialist for autism and is currently overseeing the day-to-day running of operations.

Behind her is a career full of experience as a community learning disability nurse in the NHS which led to her specialising in autism and join her NHS trust’s first autism assessment team at its birth 14 years ago.

In this blog Nadine looks back on the changes in autism assessment and understanding she has witnessed through her career, and offers insightful advice and guidance to young people, adults and families on their autism journey.
